Two piece, open cell spearfishing wetsuit. Anatomical shape, red camouflage exterior. In 3mm, 5mm, & 7mm
A two piece, open cell wetsuit is the professional diver's choice. Speardiver two piece wetsuits; jacket and chest high pants with an open cell interior, are manufactured in high quality neoprene chosen for the ideal balance between stretch/softness and resistance to permanent compression. This neoprene combined with an anatomical shape makes Speardiver wetsuits so warm and comfortable you'll forget you're wearing one.
The open cell interior creates suction against the skin effectively preventing water circulation inside the suit. This makes an open cell suit much warmer than suits with a lined interior. Generally speaking a 3mm open cell suit will be as warm or warmer than a 5mm double lined scuba suit. Less thickness means less weight that the diver has to carry on their belt. The absence of an inside lining also makes the suit more flexible and comfortable.
An open cell suit needs to be wet before putting it on, this is achieved using only water or a mixture of water and a small amount of hair conditioner. Once wet the suit slides on and off easily, an open cell suit is much easier to don than conventional double lined scuba suit. Open cell is easy to wash/keep clean and is more resistant to bacteria growth than pourous lining.
The outside of the suit is lined with durable Lycra to protect the neoprene and diver from cuts caused through contact with reef, rocks or boat. Lycra also allows the printing of our unique camouflage patterns. Tough but flexible supertex lining provides extra protection in the knee and elbow areas on the suit exterior.
The term open cell is widely accepted by manufacturers and divers despite being somewhat of a misnomer. For the benefit of those not familiar with open cell wetsuits a quick explanation will be helpful. Without exception ALL wetsuits are made with closed cell neoprene material, hence the misnomer. For our purposes open cell simply refers to the interior surface of the suit being smooth neoprene without a lining attached. The term open cell is derived from the process of shearing/cutting the neoprene into precise thickness sheets required to produce the different thickness wetsuits. The shearing exposes only the top layer of micro cells (neoprene is made up of tiny cells filled with air) and the neoprene does not become permeable as the name open cell would imply. The sheared surface is smooth to the touch, and each sheet has two sheared surfaces (top and bottom). One of them is left as is, that's the interior of the suit and goes against the diver's skin. The other surface has a Lycra lining applied to it, that's the camo pattern you see.

Speardiver wetsuits are very flexible and there is some overlap between sizes. If you find you're at both weight and height extremes for a particular size, you may require the next size up. More so with the thicker suits, 5mm and 7mm.
We will be happy to exchange a suit for another size if you feel the fit is not right, provided the suit is returned in original condition. Please be careful donning the suit as open cell is sensitive to cuts with fingernails. The exterior Lycra is as durable as any lined suit and you can safely pull on it.

Reviews
Got my new suit today. I am extremely happy!
The suit is well constructed and has one of the better glue-up jobs I have seen on a suit. I was a bit concerned that the suit was going to be too small when I pulled it out of the box, but Dan assured me that the material was very soft and flexible. That was an understatement.
The cut is VERY nice. I have had an extremely difficult time in the past finding a production suit that fits me well. This is the one of the best fitting suits I have tried on in. Of course the attibutes are to the neoprene that is used. Definitely one of the softest and more flexible neoprenes I have tried. That can be a double edged sword though; usually these tend to compress quickly and lose their thermal properties within a year of HARD use. I have paid much more for suits that weren't as well constructed as this. I look forward to putting the suit to use.
Thanks Dan, for providing quality gear at an affordable price.

I freedivespearfish in Miami waters (68F and up)
I use a Pursuit ocean blue camo 3mm 2 piece suit.
I have used my Pursuit suit for 47 days spearing from a kayak for a total of 232 hours and my Pursuit suit looks and works like new
Not the first seam has come apart.
Not the first thread has broken
My Pursuit suit is the best spearing suit I have ever owned in 35 years of spearing
I prefer the blue camo suit because I float on the surface and then drop down onto a fish. If I layed on the bottom and looked for fish I would buy the brown camo. But for the quality and great price I would buy both.
I am 5' 10" tall and 175lbs and my XL Pursuit is a little loose on me (thats exactly the way I like it).
I could go on and on about how good the Pursuit wetsuit is.

I just got mine a couple a few days ago.
Its a 3 mm Green camo. The attention to detail is equal to none other wetsuit I've owned. The loading pad is in the right place and is big enough to accommodate guns with loading butts or without. I guess I am part of the lucky bunch that don't have problems with off the shelf wetsuits and sizing so this one fits like a glove. The neoprene feels really good, super soft and elastic almost like wearing a chickle wetsuit. I am sure the knee and elbow pads will come really handy. I am very happy with the purchase.

I am very happy with it. Next best investment next to Pursuit 90 carbon fins. Its feels like no other suit I have used, it feels like not wearing anything at all while still keeping me warm in 68 degree water.
